I spend most of my day, on the go. I’m either in the field, on the trail, teaching in my HQ, or heading to the airport.

I teach nutrition principles withing my Warrior Zero Project. These nutritional guidelines are flexible and adaptable to any dietary lifestyle. The one thing that rings true with all of these nutrition principles is that, however my members choose to implemented them, the key is to remain consistent.

In order to maintain my own health with consistency, and not be a hypocrite… I use certain protein drinks to keep me at my optimal health.

-Not All Protein Powders Are Created Equal-

When it comes to choosing my preferred protein powder, I’m what you call “picky” to say the least. Let’s face it, these protein powders aren’t cheap. The better that they are, the more expensive that they get. I am also talking about my health, and the quality of it. So if I’m a bit selective in which protein powders make it into my cupboard, well, I think that’s a good thing.

There are basically, 2 main choices when it comes to protein powder categories. One is animal based and the other is plant based.

For the past 10 years, I have only consumed plant based protein powders. For me, I feel much better than when I used to drink animal based protein powders. As I mentioned earlier, I spend a lot of time on the go. Being able to grab a scoop of protein powder, some water, put them both in a shaker and have my meal ready in seconds? I’m In! But, that’s just part of it…

Plant based protein assimilates easily into our bodies. A good quality protein powder is made up of real food ingredients. Our bodies are familiar with these proteins and easily integrate them into our systems. The fact that it is a powder, prepared in liquid form, keeps our digestive system working in very low gear; comparatively. This allows our bodies to devote all of their resources to keeping us at peak levels regardless of what the mission at hand may be.

I consume various plant based protein powders. Keep in mind that this is part of my daily eating habit. I don’t know about you but I need variety in my meals. If it gets boring, than it becomes more difficult to maintain the lifestyle.

One of my go to plant based protein powder’s is made by Organifi. They offer both vanilla and chocolate flavors. The ingredients are clean and it’s real food!

I usually opt for chocolate flavor when it comes to my protein powder. Last year, a client of mine brought over some of his Organifi vanilla protein powder. I mixed it with some hemp milk and after my first gulp… I was sold! Most vanilla powders leave chalky residue, in my mouth, when I drink them -but not this one. When asked for my opinion on flavors, my answer is that they both taste great.
